Alkaline Diet
Some of the latest research shows that alkaline diet is just as important as drinking water to keep us healthy. Our hunter-gatherer ancestors ate 80 percent vegetative alkaline foods and twenty percent acidic foods like meats. Meats were a little hard to come by, you had to chase them or be able to hit the moving target with rocks or spears. Small game was somewhat easier to take down than larger animals but all-in-all it was much easier to eat fruits and vegetables.
These days, there is so much food that is so far from its natural state that we are starting to notice more and more health issues that relate to how acidic or alkaline the pH of what we put in our mouths.
Those of us that coach those with health issues, notice that their saliva and urine pH is way too acidic. Because we have made changes in our own lives, we notice the incredible health benefits of eating a more alkaline diet, particularly raw vegetables, prepared in various delicious ways.
